GEM is looking for the right candidate to fill an Engineer position in our Engineering department. The ideal candidate should be an organized, motivated individual with a strong latitude in ability to handle daily tasks and responsibilities. Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are a must.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to support senior engineers as they design and enhance products for the company. This includes drawing and revising 3D and 2D technical drawings, producing customer-facing marketing drawings, performing basic prototyping, and resolving manufacturing and QC issues with manufacturing vendors. This position will be working under supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer and will count towards NCEES and FBPE experience requirements.
Candidates should have work experience or skills in the following areas:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Preference given to a Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school
- 3D Modeling (Autodesk Inventor or similar) 2+ years’ experience (or school coursework); 4+ years’ experience preferred
- Fully-dimensioned 2D Drawing for manufacturing use 2+ year’s experience (or school coursework)
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Other valuable experience or skills might include:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering; Preference given to a Mechanical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school
- E.I.T. title with desire to earn PE license
- FDM 3D printing 2+ years’ experience
- Understanding of metal manufacturing techniques (casting, forging, machining, extrusion, etc.)
- Understanding of plastic manufacturing techniques (injection molding, glass fiber reinforcement)
- Understanding of galvanic series and corrosion control
- Manufacturing techniques experience including CNC, welding, polishing, and additive manufacturing
- Netsuite experience
- Foreign language skills (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish)
- Mechatronics (servo, linear actuator, limit switches)
- Marine Industry, fishing experience (professional or leisure)
Regular responsibilities for the position may include:
- Drawing and revising 3D and 2D technical drawings
- Preparing 2D drawings for manufacturing, including tolerance stack-up analysis
- Measuring samples (with calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges) to perform basic QC functions and to update drawings
- Producing customer-facing marketing drawings and basic renderings for sales team or marketing use
- Making recommendations to Senior Engineers on opportunities for improvement in design or manufacturing
- Performing basic prototyping, primarily with FDM 3D printers
- Performing basic business software functions to document new products
- Resolving manufacturing and QC issues with manufacturing vendors
Salary: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year.

GEMLUX is looking for the right candidate to fill a Sales Manager - Retail & Aftermarket position. The ideal candidate should be an organized, motivated individual with a solid aptitude to handle daily tasks and responsibilities. In addition, good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President in our sales department. This is a new position created to significantly grow our business in both the Retail and Aftermarket business segments. Therefore, the person in this role must have great self-leadership and previous business-to-business (B2B) sales experience in both business segments. In addition, they will be expected to identify new markets and sales channels, develop relationships with key customers, and deliver strong financial results.
Candidates should have work experience or skills in the following areas:
- College Degree
- 5+ years business to business sales experience
- Experience working in Retail and Aftermarket sales
- Proven experience developing new markets and sales channels
- Strong organizational, time management, verbal, and written skills
- Excellent self-leadership; comfortable identifying and soliciting new business opportunities
- Ability to travel domestically up to 75% of the time and occasionally international
Other valuable experience or skills might include:
- 10+ years business to business sales experience
- Prior work or extensive knowledge of the marine industry
- Previous sales experience in sunshade and umbrella product lines

- Establish and achieve sales goals for the Retail and Aftermarket business segments
- Develop annual sales budget for same business segments
- Develop new markets and sales channels
- Identify new business opportunities and develop sales plans accordingly
- Meet with current customers and prospects to explain the benefits of using GEMLUX products
- Represent GEMLUX at appropriate industry events and trade shows
- Analyze sales data to understand sales trends better and identify new opportunities
- Establish pricing for new customers and products
- Maintain CRM data in Netsuite, including notes after each customer interaction
- Follow-up on business opportunities to help GEMLUX gain market share

We are looking to hire an Outside Rep for the wholesale segment of our business. This person will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships as well as developing new relationships between GEM and boat dealerships, tackle stores and marine service centers. They will also be responsible for the introduction of new and existing products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele.
·Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
· Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
·Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
·Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
·Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
·Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
·Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
·Regular travel of the territory is required, up to 50%
