Friction
Our Friction Hinges are designed to eliminate the need for gas shocks or hatch springs in some applications. Friction is built into the barrel of the hinge using patented technology from GEM. Holds open hatches, live well lids, radio boxes, and many more applications. View the Friction Hinge Mounting Styles Chart to help choose the right hinge for your application. ***Please be advised: Friction hinges are factory set to a specific torque rating, attempting to adjust in any way will damage your hinge as well as void the warranty.***
