Excelent, affordable product: Thru-hull Recessed 1.5" NPS, Black
Worked great, strong. I cut the extra threads I did not need off easily and the installation went smoothly. As I did not have the tool to make the correct hole profile in the hull, I cut a 1/4" deep hole to the OD of the fitting, then a hole for the threaded OD all the way through the hull. Removed the 1/4" deep section and mixed epoxy and wood shavings (sawdust) to embed the fitting. Tightened the nut, cleaned off the excess epoxy, waited for the cure, and done. I finished it with a SS flapper over the top and a 1.5" female threaded 90 X 1.5" barb on the back side to connect my new bilge discharge line. This was all done above the waterline per Gemlux's instructions. Gemlux has other options for below the waterline. Thanks team!

Good quality and good value
There are pros and cons of straight threads but if they can be sealed properly, this is a good product that helps prevent bonding and corrosion issues.
