I order this fitting to accommodate the 1.5” hose for my livewell drain. I used this exact same part about two years ago on a previous build and it was perfect. This time I used a different style hose that would not collapse, it was extremely hard to press the hose over the end of the fitting. Which made it to where I could only get the hose 3/4 of the way onto barb with lubricant. This was also the case on the 1 1/8” fitting as well.
