I picked up a set of these to pair with new Screw-less 30 degree Rod Holder / Cup Holders I was installing in the gunnel. Given these rod holders could see some heavy pressure from rods/fish I wasn’t confident in the backing nut alone. The backing plates were of great quality, had attachment points for reel leashes and super easy to install. Would recommend for anyone using them in a potential high stress application.
